car tuning One dyno test wasn’t enough for the gearheads over at Switzer Performance. They are back to the drawing board and bringing us yet another dyno test for the Nissan GT-R R35 R1K. While a standard GT-R develops 473 HP, the tuner managed to squeeze an impressive 1005 HP out of their little plaything. To achieve such incredible horsepower, Switzer started off with a base P700 or P800 and then added giant turbochargers and intercoolers, new injectors, ECU, cooling system, new exhaust system, and a new transmission. The tuner didn’t mention how these additions affected the performance times, but they should be a whole lot better than the 0-60mph time of 3.4 seconds and the top speed of 193mph for the standard Nissan GT-R!At the dyno test the tuner said: "Vehicle drove from our shop 20 miles to independent Mustang Dyno, made 1005awhp and drove back to the shop with A/C on and cruise control set. The goal of this combination was to generate 1000whp while maintaining a dual personality. We wanted to have a GTR that would cruise around as comfortably as our milder upgrade cars, but be a terror when at full boost in kill mode."
